Dr. Huebner: So I'm here with Tonya and is one of our superstars. You may remember her from her video. She had some traction alopecia on the front and I'll show you some pictures so you it can remind you but overall Tanya how is life? How far are you now?

Tanya: I'll be 8 months on the 27.

Dr. Huebner. Okay, just shy of 8 months.

Tanya: It will be 12 months on July 27.

Dr. Huebner: Okay. So you got seven and a half months, okay. And as you know guys, the final result is not for a year so she continues every month of feeling even more and more. Tanya, maybe you can just show people maybe you're chinned out. So you can see the side yep and the other side beautiful. And I can see you have your hair back in a ponytail which you wouldn't even of have thought of doing seven months ago. Not even close. So how is it like?

Tanya: I did it when I could do it. So I wanted to show my hair like this so you can really get to see it instead of wearing it loose. But I'll shoot you some pictures.

Dr. Huebner: Okay yes and I have the pictures thank you. Has anybody ever question if it's natural or if you have ever had to worry about it?

Tanya: People don't know.

Dr. Huebner: Okay exactly, exactly and you and your husband own a salon together so you know looking natural and looking you know this is important to god's good gift.

Tanya: Right. He owns the salon and I don't go there.

Dr. Huebner: That’s a whole other story.

Tanya: He knows how that go.

Dr. Huebner: No. I'm just kidding. Well say hello to him. How is your life any different? I mean you know is it giving you more confidence to go out now I'm different hairstyles that you...?

Tanya: I do want to dress. I see a lot of you guys question that you ask on my video and I want to address a couple of things that people just ask so many questions. First, I want to say that the tractional alopecia, yes a lot of people wear braids all the time but not everyone has the same hair texture. So a lot of people are making comments that it was that braids and its weaves. I think as you see my hair is really long so I can choose to wear weave or not but what it is that the years of wearing that stuff and the type. It's about the person that does the braids. If they're pulling it really tight and you're going to somebody that’s braiding it tight like me, it didn't hurt me but it was too tight for my edges. I'm not saying everybody but for me years and years of wearing in the braids when the low styles were out it just it just wore and eventually it stops growing. So I wanted to answer that question. It was not just overnight it was years of doing it. And in the nineties the big thing the braids and stuff and I used to wear them all the time. So I just wanted to make that clear and then a lot of people are asking did the doctor do anything to me to make my hair grow and he did not. He did not. He did not do anything to me. He did the procedure. He didn't give me any medications to take before. He didn't give me medications to take afterwards. I just followed his directions to a tee and his work is showing itself. He didn't make anything happen he just did it and I did what he told me to do and this is the results. And it hasn't been a year yet for me.

Dr. Huebner: Right. So you can see what approximately you are going to get about forty percent of your density back in the area. And again she had really nothing left in that area. So we just put her hair line back where her edges back to where she was.

Tanya: And He gave me my original hairline. A lot of you young ladies are calling me, asking can he make hair lines? And the answer yes. He asked me if I wanted to change my hair line and make it different and we both agreed no. Let's just do it natural and he just did it back. But as you can remember from the pictures I didn't have anything. I pulled all of it out. So he just solved a little...he can tell like where my hairline was and he drew it and he made it. So a couple of young ladies have asked me that. And I just wanted to answer those questions and I'll think of questions as you go because I get like four calls a day. I get so many calls and I do text you guys pictures and things like that. The number one thing you're asking me to is did it hurt? It didn't hurt me. I think a normal person will probably feel a little something but you know...

Dr. Huebner: it's not bad. It's a little uncomfortable but it's nothing that you can't you handle and I benefit of having the hair. There's nothing to talk about it's worth it.

Tanya: You asked me if I'm real? Yes, I'm real. I do live in Jacksonville Florida. I work everyday day. I have children. I'm not an actress.

Dr. Huebner: There's no products in your hair right now to give you more density. There's no coloring or Photoshop or anything going on.

Tanya: So listen let me tell you girls something. We are doing facetime. So me and doc just plugged in right? All my hair is nothing dark. Nothing sprayed. All my stylist did was get some spritz, spritz my hair and brushed it back and dried it with the blow dryer. This is the weave. This is not my hair but this is my hair just to let you know. You guys know how long my hair is. My hair is probably about right here if it was in a ponytail. So I just wanted to answer like the main ones.

Dr. Huebner: I have never seen you in a ponytail Tanya until today, so this makes me very happy to see that you have this and you're going out in public without any problems.

Tanya: Yep. It's awesome. I will suggest...I tell you ladies all the time you got to do it. Nice clean facility. Yes, it is a real facility. Somebody asked me if it's an abandoned building. It's a real clean facility and the people are so friendly. Dr. Matt has contacted me every month, his assistant contact me. They make sure everything is going okay with me. They see my results; they check on me constantly. So it's a very friendly proactive environment. They make sure they are keeping up with my progress. so that's the thing. You will have somebody holding your hand literally the entire time with the growth process and everything.

Dr. Huebner: Excellent. Thank you so much Tanya for the update and I can't wait to see your final result.

Tanya: I know. Four months it will be a year.

Dr. Huebner: Awesome: Well it's good to see you. We will be following up with you and thanks again Tanya. Thank you again for all the people that you are helping.

Tanya: Call me here anytime. It's fun.
